The Youth Media Learning Network seeks to promote professional development and capacity building for the youth media field on a national scale. YMLN is growing a site-based networking model in regional locales organized around core activities, including:
- The Youth Media Fellowship identifies and supports leaders within the youth media field.
- Youth Media Institutes bring together educators from youth media, youth development, and K-12 schools to explore promising practices.
- On-line dialogue and the sharing of teaching methods and materials.
We hope that you will use this site to learn more about YMLN and to find out how become involved in the network, such as to host a Fellowship for Media Educators or a hands-on Media Production Institute. Also, please access or youth media resources and materials developed in our pilot phase. In particular, please visit our Fellows' Project pages to learn how Youth Media Educators -- across age groups and media genre -- were able to examine their own work and draw lessons for the field.
